Dressmaker download: the safe paths

Two official download routes exist — Steam for the full game, itch.io for the free prototype. Everything else (APKs, browser builds, mirror sites) is unofficial. Here's the safe path and what your machine needs.

Download & install steps

  1. Full game (paid)

Buy or activate on Steam, install through the Steam client. ~1 GB.

  2. Free prototype

Download from elyaradine.itch.io/dressmaker, unzip, run. Name-your-own-price.

  3. macOS note

The Steam build is standard macOS. The prototype is unsigned, so Gatekeeper may ask you to right-click → Open on first launch.

  4. Verify before playing

If a download didn't come from Steam or that exact itch.io page, delete it and re-download from the official pages.

System requirements & file size

Minimum: Windows 10+ (64-bit) or macOS with Apple M1, 8 GB RAM, Intel UHD 630 / Core i5 class graphics and CPU, and roughly 1 GB of storage. It runs comfortably on office laptops.

Downloads to avoid

  • “Dressmaker APK” / mobile files — no official mobile build exists. See our platform status page.
  • Browser-play pages — there is no browser version.
  • Torrent / crack mirrors — read the torrent page for why they're a bad deal.
  • Pages asking for Steam or itch.io logins — official downloads never need your password.

FAQ

How big is the Dressmaker download?
About 1 GB of storage per the official requirements — small enough for almost any machine.
Is Dressmaker available for Android or iOS?
No. No official mobile build exists yet; a mobile port is planned but undated. Any APK you find is unofficial and risky.
Can I download Dressmaker offline without Steam?
The full release is distributed through Steam. The free prototype is a direct download from itch.io — that's the only official non-Steam file.
